I have a JLU user ID (g-/s-/n-/J_-)

How can you tell if you have a JLU user ID?:

• It begins with s, g, n or J
• It is usually linked to a JLU email address
• The ID is also valid for other JLU electronic systems

As passwords for JLU user IDs are not managed in Stud.IP, it is not possible to reset them in Stud.IP.

I have temporary access to Stud.IP (“local account”)

Please send an email to studip@uni-giessen.de and provide us with your local username. We will then send you a new password.

How can you tell if you have temporary access (“local account”)?

• You are a Stud.IP administrator, studying at, for example, THM or the University of Marburg, or you are a guest
• The login details are only valid for Stud.IP
• Your username looks something like: ‘Mustermann-SoSe22-hrz’ or ‘fbAdmin2’.

What login details are required?

• JLU members should enter their HRZ user ID (s-, g-, n-, J-ID) and password.
• Stud.IP administrators or individuals who are not JLU members should enter the username they received by email, along with the corresponding password.
• The login details for the applicant portal do not apply to Stud.IP. You will receive your HRZ user ID once you have completed the enrolment process.

My password is saved in the browser and is entered automatically.

Please enter the password manually; your browser may have saved an incorrect password.

Were you deregistered for a period of time?

If you have re-enrolled at JLU following an absence but your Stud.IP account is still blocked, please contact us by email at studip@uni-giessen.de

Do you have temporary access and has a new semester begun?

Please contact us by email at studip@uni-giessen.de, providing your username and the reason for extending your account.
