Kommentar/Beschreibung

Qualification Objectives:
• Understand and critically evaluate current research in economics
• Identify research questions, methods, and contributions of academic work
• Participate actively in scientific discussions
• Develop skills in academic peer review and scientific writing
• Prepare a referee report according to academic standards

Contents:
• Active participation in research colloquia and seminars
• Academic discussion and feedback
• Discussion of current research papers and projects
• Critical evaluation of scientific methods and findings
• Preparation of a referee report

Module Examination:
– Type of examination: Referee Report
– Form of examination: Written report
– Scope: approximately 4 pages
– Assessment: 100% Referee Report
– Retake examination: Revised referee report
-Language: English
Notes: Students must attend at least six research presentations. At least four presentations must be part of the Faculty Research Colloquium. Up to two further presentations may be attended in approved research formats (e.g. DDE Brown Bag, Doctoral Lunch, BFGA Conference Session).
